This is the script I wrote for a Flash project. We had to propose a script and storyboard for a 'client' in whic we had to think of a minute long animated story that told a message about the state of new media. I originally did this in a play format, but decided a documentary script was better to express the idea better.

INT: plain white background. A flickering computer monitor becomes COMPUTER GUY's head. As his body comes into view, he Broken music notes and incomplete computer code float and Suddenly Computer Guy stops and Computer Girl walks on screen up to Computer Guy. All code in the background fades away, replacing the background with white. A love heart symbol appears on both their screens and electric signals pass between them. Both hold hands and walk off stage. Cut Scene to : Computer Guy and Computer Girl walk against white background. They both stop in the middle and Computer Guy presents Computer Girl with a wrapped present. Computer Girl takes it and opens it, and finds a sparkling diamond ring. A love heart symbol appears in Computer Guy’s screen, while a green dollar sign appears in Computer Girls. Cut Scene to : CU : Computer Girl puts on diamond ring. Immediately after, “DOWNLOADING…” appears on Computer Girl’s screen, as electric signals buzz between her and Computer Guy. A love heart stays fixed on Computer Guy’s screen. After the download is finished, Computer Guy suddenly realized what has happened. He turns a bit and a question mark replaces the love heart in his screen. Computer Girl walks off, dollar signs trailing past her, and the diamond ring sparkling on her finger. Computer Guy stands alone with a love heart crossed out on his screen. A thought bubble appears above his head which shows a sad face. ‘The End’ |
